I don't get it!

The next one above with an entry is "Frida Kahlo Fans: " by leenerella! (after ones with no titles by Peter and Rayce). And the one below is "half of a good meal is who you share it with..." by agillious. Perhaps the entry you're referring to is a Friends Only and I can't see it, or maybe it's displaying in a different order for me for some reason!

Dagnabbit! You're right, I just noticed it's a Friends Only post. Anyway, the title is: "I've been to hell...I spell it DMV" (Department of Motor Vehicles). It was a strange coincidence as I was reading through...it reads like of a funny response to your essay defining hell. ;)

Dear friend, you would do good to seek who God is, as your mother would approve. I understand that Catholicism can be hard, all the repetitive ceremony. I myself do not believe that all is necisary, it is not taught as doctrine in the bible. But, my friend, I encourage you to forget about this satanic cult, its path leads only to death. I encourage you to read the bible, to discover who Christ is, and how much he loves you wants to bless you. Dont be tricked into thinking that the battle is not real, satan is real, God is real, his Son Jesus is truly our savior. And despite the enemies greatest trick (that is satan, who will try and make you think that neither he nor God himself exists) God can give you life in eternity with all those who have turned to him. I pray for you friend, though i do not know who, i can tell you still have a pure heart and I pray that God would hold you in his arms, and protect you from this cult of satan. Scientifically speaking, hell is impossible. Ethically, it's not logical, philosophically it's very problematic and theologically it's nonsense.

Scientifically speaking, a few hundred years ago, science thought the earth was flat. Might I point out that the bible clearly states that it is round, a document thousands of years old. Ethically? If you do something wrong your parents send you to your room, is that nonsense? Philisophically, philosophy is foolisheness, the wisdom of man whos own wisdom cannot surpass his own interests and realm of existance. Theologically, the word of God is the word of truth, and He says that Hell=The Grave is simply a life without him. You all suppose that hell is some burning furnace of torture, but Hell (meaning: the grave) in truth is only existance without God in your life.

Unfortunately for them, the Bible, and you, you'll find that the Earth is more like spherical than square or round. The Bible says it is flat: You take that to mean it is square, or round. Up to you.

In the New Testament, for example, (less than 2000 years old, by which time many scholars knew the Earth was not flat), it has Jesus appear in the sky at some time in the future, and all his followers float up to meet him in the sky. This is clearly only possible if the Earth is flat, not 3D.

That's not "theology", that's a particular Christian belief. Most people in the world (at least 66%!) do not believe that The Bible is the word of God. It is a silly belief. The Bible is the word of man.

Not all Christians believe in hell. Hell as a real place was only invented during the dark ages; before then Christians didn't consider it to be real. Especially if you look in the old testament.

There is no hell. You might believe in it because of your religion, but that's your problem. It makes no sense that there would be a "hell". No good god could create it, no finite sin deserves infinite punishment, and heaven is impossible if hell exists.

Concerning Hell

Hell will be this earth on fire. God says in the word, "behold I make all things new". God will recreate this world after He burns it up with fire (HELL) to purify it of sin & sinners. This will happen after God claims His people from the earth; when they get there, they (the saved) will look through the books and see why those who did not make it did not. This will be to justify God's judgment in their eyes, and prove that God did not make any mistakes. The Bible states, "The saved will walk on the ashes of the wicked". So contrary to what many have been taught, the wicked will not burn forever, but some will burn more than others.
Now at this time God is Judging mankind to determine who goes to HEAVEN and who goes to HELL. So anything you say or do will literally be used against you in the Higher Court of Heaven.

Technical Flaw with web site: http://www.dpjs.co.uk/hell.html

I find it difficult to read because of an error in the style sheet. The text goes into a "window" that is just slightly too narrow to hold it. This results in either the beginning or the end of each line being hidden when the other is visible. I must constantly use the horizontal scroll bar to read each line, which is a pain in the neck.

Slim down that frame so that there is no need for a horizontal scroll bar.

That link has some free interesting books also...Maybe you'd like to read. I like your page very much. I was a Christian but had a massive problem understanding all the contradictions of the Bible and the massive Misogyny, and the woman best do the dishes propaganda. The Bible also says "The more you speak, the less meaning." Well interesting coming from a huge book.
