Dates

This is the 21st century, the last century (which ended december 31, 1999) was the 20th century. Often, under life you write "21st/22nd century".

You should also add more about Reverend Lestat Ventrue, since he manages the CoS emporioum and the official CoS Message Board, Letters to the Devil.

I've fixed the dates... thanks for that one!

And added a few links to Lestat Ventrue's entry. He does a lot. The people list was mostly done one day off the top of my head so I do expect I've missed lots of stuff, including (I bet...) some important ones! I add to it when I think of things.

Lestat ventrue banned me from his forum immediately after i told him that i am not a satanist and that i am not a member of the church of satan
i have emailed peter h gilmore at hpnadramia church of satan 3 times and no one will answer my emails right now i am extremely super mad at lestat Ventrue and the church of satan and peter h gilmore i seriously doubt that i will pay 200 dollars for membership in this group

I'm a Christian teenage minister and I am over disgusted at your beliefs. This is foolishness and you need to get right with the real God which came in the flesh as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You all need to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is ridiculous. If you don't believe in God and if you don't believe in Satan then who do you believe in. God is the one the right one believe me. I gave my life over to the Lord when I was 13 I'm 17 now and still holding on. The devil has no power and he's stupid. Because if he had any sense at all he wouldn't have been thrown out of heaven. Please do not serve a dumb god because that makes you look dumb.

General common sense, maturity and compassion dictate that if you want to be disguisted with someones beliefs or criticize them, it is best to first learn what their beliefs are. Just because they're not the same as yours, or seem strange, is not a valid way of condoning xenophobia. No one here "serves" any dumb god, even you yourself acknowledged that Satanists' do not believe in God or Satan, Satanism, like much of the modern world, is atheistic.

beliefs of satanists

I've a few questions about the particulars of satanism. What is the satanic view on abortion, or welfare? How do these relate to the modern political world? If a satanist believes in responsibility to the responsible, is it satanically acceptable to support a tax-and-spend, mixed economy socialist Democrat who's policies are inherently opposed to such a belief? In general, can a satanist support socialism? Or socialist ideals, like protectionism and trade tariffs? I hope not.

The Satanic Bible

I purchased The Satanic Bible by La Vey two years ago and I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down and since then I have based my life on much of it's philosophy. I like the way it exposes the phoniness and hypocrisy of Christianity and indeed other religions, I also like the way it says in reference to love that 'anything that is used too freely loses it's real meaning.' I think alot of what passes for 'love' in modern society should rightly be labelled as 'lust and carnal desire.' The problem is I live in Ireland and I don't know anyone who practises satanism and I am eager to meet other people who adhere to the satanic religion because it says in the satanic bible that the more people there are in a ritual the more likely it is to be successful, if you are a satanist and you are living in Ireland I would be eager to get in contact with you.
