Arthur Dent

Looking through some notes I made earlier this year on "The Devil in Early Modern England" by Darren Oldridge (2000 Sutton Publishing Limited, England), I happily rediscovered:

p6: There was a protestant theologian in the 17th/18th century called Arthur Dent.

Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make you smile :-)

Apparently he wrote a pamphlet called The Plaine Man's Pathway to Heaven, too, which has become a much-quoted part of Hitch-hiker mythology

Reaallly, that's great :-) I've got a mind to read it when I get a chance!
