I prefer "Diatribe" to "vituperation", and actively don't like the boring word "invective".

But I do kind of like "vitriol", however no dictionary definition seems to equate it with the above words although it is used in a similar way sometimes!

Vitriol is a cool word. It's the name of the grove that lead the Mabon ritual I went to in September.

He he, I've just replied to the email that you no doubt had in mind!!! Excellent timing :-)

I'm visiting my Dad this weekend though - otherwise I can't see him before I go.

Invective sounds like infective; vituperation sounds like recuperation. Yeah, diatribe and vitriol are good words. :)

Not to hound you about my friends list or anything (you don't have to comment if you don't want), but I thought you might be interested in this entry of tuanh's, having to do with homosexuality in the church.

Well, 'vitriol' is just 'acid', although obviously you can use it to refer to a serious corrosive rant. Add it to the others and attack people with vitriolic invective!

"What a diatribicol rant!!!!"

Sounds like an acid all on it's own!...

It would be silly of course to try and use all of them in one sentance...
