Reason for God testing people
|
God "tests" people to sift out bad tendencies in their character, for THEIR benefit. NO ONE WILL EVER BE PUT INTO AN ETERNAL HELL FIRE!! EVERY BEING WHO EVER LIVED WILL EVENTUALLY BE SAVED, INCLUDING SATAN AND HITLER, THOSE MONSTERS! But they, as all of us (except Jesus, the only perfect being) will be sorely refined and molded by God's firey Spirit first....
Much of the Bible, as we now have it, has been distorted, biased, misinterpreted, etc. down through the ages. I am not just saying this--most Bible scholars are fully aware of the raging debates about this.
God Himself CREATED evil (Isaiah 45:6-7), He doesn't "allow" it--he MADE it for a specific higher purpose (read the book of Job). There is no such thing as free will. Everyone behaves, even Satan & Hitler, according to God's Master Plan. How can we puny beings think that WE have the power (by using our so-called "free will") to trump God's will?! He is the One who created the trillions upon trillions of galaxies like you or I would throw out a handful of sand...and we think we can overcome Him by using our nonexistent "free will"? Does the clay have power over the sculptor? Does the paint have power over the artist?
All the evil in the world was put there by God Himself, not Satan, not man, not "accidents", for a specific purpose. He controls everything that ever happened or will happen, down to the finest detail of keeping every electron spinning in its orbit in every atom, down to sub-atomic particles...and you think we can spit in His face because he "allows" it? No, He CAUSES it!!!! Stick around for a few eons and the reasons will be made clear....

Then, God created this beautiful Castle-like world for us as a temporary Hostel, our world. Imagine that that there is a very beautiful and marvelous Kingdom and a very merciful king who invites all his people to give them a free castle as a gift to show his mercy and generosity. Since there are so many people, people come to visit the king in turns. The servants place the visitors in a temporary waiting room and they say you will wait for here until your turn comes and the King will accept for you. You will find all the fruit and food ready in your room and a handbook teaching how to use the facilities in that room and some important guidelines. As you figure out yourself as well that room is our world, a temporary waiting place to meet God and God will give us again a another world upon our good deeds. The grace of God of second world which will be much better if you compare a waiting room to King’s the gift a brand-new castle is the place where we will go. In this place where we will go, again God will provide anything for us we cannot reach out in this world; Eternity, beautiful houses for each person, various food and fruits we ate the similar and better ones in the world, no sleeping, no call of nature, no sicknesses and no dying – living for ever and the most important thing is that we will see the justice is done for innocent people.In paradise our body structure will be different but we will be in the same image. This world has got thousands of curtains - reasons – of God’s creation, blessings. Of course God could have given us eggs and milk directly in this world, but, as a test requirement, without showing the answer, God created animals as reasons to serve us while we will have them in Paradise without any curtains, reasons. That is, serving will be much better after this world, which God states this fact in Qur’an that in paradise, there are many wonderful surprises for believers that even they cannot imagine. The surprises are beyond their imagination. This is where will go. This world like is a place of test as well for those who believe in God without seeing HIM. So the believers who believe in God deserve a reward. In other words, the most merciful and most compassionate God with all blessings in this world, trees with their arms like branches , the best servants, cows with their milk, chickens with their eggs, bees with their honey, and other blessings, our body with our computer like brain, digestion system, blood veins, our heart, the best brand camera, our eyes and our memory with a finger nail size where we store a lot of information and images, can also create a better world as a reward for believers where they will go after this world. This is where we will go. If we look at the white face of winter, we see no fruits and no grass and no flowers. But God with His Mighty knowledge and wisdom like turning over a page on which there is a picture of winter to next page where a picture of spring appears, does create the grass, flowers, and fruits out of the winter every year, similar to resurrection, dry and dead branch of a tree blossoms in spring with flowers and its fruits. In the same way, God will demolish the our existing winter-like world - since we will die at the end so will the world - and create a new spring as forever world where there will be no death and there will be different and much better rules and much better engagements in that world. This is where we will go.
In brief, we are a like a traveler who started our traveling started from the world of the spirits – God created our spirits first and later the world – to first destination, our mother’s womb and then we went on our journey arriving to our second destination, the world. And as all the journeys are bound to finish, our journey will finish when we go on to the final destination, the second world, the paradise where we are destined to live forever.

Omnipotence makes no sense.

I think the arguement stated on the site says the test is pointless; you just said the destination has already been chosen...so why not just skip this life, and go there immediately? Why do we have to endure anything other than the perfect bliss of Heaven? God isn't benevolent, because there would be no pain in the world. He can eliminate it instantly, but choses to see it inflicted on people. If he can't eliminate it, he is not all powerful or omnipotent, but has sever restrictions on his power. And who imposes these restrictions on God? Is it the same person who told him he couldn't just redeem the people of this world, but told God he had to sacrifice his only Son to do it?
Life also can't be a test if God is omnipotent; it means he already knows what we will do and say. You said it yourself, we have NO free will at all, because he's so powerful. That mean Paedophiles, Murderers, and, puzzlingly, non-believers, or those who follow the wrong religious path, must also have been created by God. And he KNEW what they would do, be it commit murder, abuse children etc. And their victims were created with his full knowledge that they'd be abused, tortured, murdered etc. At it's worst, you arguement that God creates everything, and rules and controls it all, and that there is only his will and no choice within the individual, means he makes people rape children. I don't want to worship that God.
In addition, don't think that because you're a Christian and believe in God, that you will go to Heaven. You had to CHOOSE to worship him. Since you have no free will to make any decision in life, you havn't passed a 'test', or picked the right path. You only worship God because he 'programmed' you to do so.
Also, why are people born in countries which have no concept of Christianity? It isn't fair; because they didn't worship the Christian God, they had no chance of going to Heaven. But could they Worship the Christian God if there was no opportunity to learn about it? And you can't say that proves it's our job to spread the word, because God's already decided in these cases his religion WON'T be there, if he is indeed omnipotent.
If God only has will, it is a good thing in a way. I can't go to Hell. No-one can. I can do anything I wish, absolutely anything. It isn't my free will, but God is making me do it. I can't then be punished in the after-life, because God controls my actions; essentially, he committed my crimes or attrocities through me. To then say what I did was evil, I should go to Hell makes no sense, since I didn't have a choice in the matter.
If you believe Humans have no free will, that we are 'puppets' of God, You must believe that every evil act; those that contradict the 10 Commandments, the murder of Christ, Rape, torture, everything is, essentially being commited by God through people. He knows full well that it's happenening, and, in fact, made it happen in the first place. He will then send his will-less puppets to Hell because they broke the rules he laid out in the book, even though God was controlling such people from birth.
You also can't criticise what I'm saying if God is omnipotent; If we're all just puppets, God knew I would write this. In fact, since he created me, he's making me write this. If you criticise me, you're criticising God.

God And His People
|
One thing that everyone says is that God made the religious laws. If God thinks that these things are wrong, then why is he the only man(kind of) that can break them. Every religion has a God which can kill, drive people insane, start wars and change what is right and wrong etc. God is either not real, really stupid or playing a trick on us all. Most religions, such as Christianity are about helping others and never yourself. Christianity actually takes most things that are fun and says that they're evil. What about if everybody takes care of them self rather than everybody else? Then everyone would be happy. I think that if God was real, then he wouldn't believe that his laws are right, maybe they made by religios men trying to impress him. I believe that when I die, God won't judge me on whether I have sinned or not. He will judge me on whether I'm a good person or not and if I try try to do the right thing. There are some people in this world, such as myself who sin, not because they want to be bad, but because they have thought about things and found out what they believed was right or wrong. There is no praise of intelligence in the bible as far as I'm concerned. Nowadays everyone loves violence and thinks that their physical strength can solve all of life's problems. Back in ancient times, the human race was smart. We are now dumb. Are we going back in the evolutionary chart? People (no, not just Christians now) always say that if someone hits you, you should walk away, that's the way children are taught to live. WWII. People are glad we won that war, but they hate Hitler. We were just as bad as him. However I do hate him for his racism and of course the Holocaust. Children who grew up in world war 2 learned that violence was the answer. People now think that physical strength is more important than intelligence. People are now not only violent, but dumber because of that.

By you thinking, why do you have children...why not just make them perfect adults? Carry it further and why have anyone live at all. It is the gift of life...the journey, and the adventure, that is where the value is held.
What a person does with their God-Given gift is their choice. It is no more simple or complex than that. God is all and you are part of God weather you like it or not. You must quit whining about life and start enjoying it's gift...as you had no say in aquiring it. That, my friend, is God and it is beautiful.
It would be such a boring, meaningless world under your thinking. All perfect all the time. Or all evil all the time. Whichever you choose to be the flavor of the moment.
There is only good, evil is man-made...it is your false perception and short-sightedness that makes it so. You do not see far enough to see the good that you believe to be evil. There is no Devil only God.
The knowledge of God is ALL and you are part of that knowledge -- like it or not. Everything must be expressed...good and bad. There is no distiction between the two in God's eyes. It is all the expression of that which God wills to be done...and God will everything to be done. "Thy will be done." that, my friend, is your job. Doing God's will (freely of course). You have no obligation to do anything...but you know what it is you should be doing and that is your path. Using your talent, whatever it may be. Apparently your talent is the questioning the negative concept of a God and God's existance. That is your purpose here on earth. God will not, or could not hold it against you, as you have expressed what it is you were made to do. I believe it all ends when all expression is complete. Since that is an impossibility -- existance will always be infinate. God always was and always will be. You always were a part and always will be. To question God's plan or intelligence in itself is futile. It is like one cell of the brain believing it is the whole brain. Everything is a part and the plan is perfect. You look at death too short sightedly. As we are spirit there is no death. So, the "apparent" tragedy you see is but a blip in time...not even worth mentioning. But, the voyage through the ages is unquestionably purposeful and impossible for a person only working with one brain cell (so to speak) to comprehend.
