Re: um... Hello

Hi Marko. The Satanic Bible was written by Anton Lavey, the copyright is owned by Avon Books (I think), there should be no copies online. I, certainly, do not have and would never put a copy online. Online bookstores are frequently the best place to buy a copy. But what I *do* have online is a large number of pages commenting on The Satanic Bible and Satanism in general. http://www.dpjs.co.uk/ which is probably what you've been reading. Programming, to start off with, is a lot of hard work, like learning to be an artist. The best, most wonderful parts come when you have enough talent to know what you want to create... and then to be able to do it. The rewards come from gaining insight into what you want to create. I started as an Artificial Intelligence programmer, but moved on to MS-based webserver coding. Nowadays, I do hard physical labour combined with a telecommunications trade, and no more programming except little apps for my own PC. What languages are you learning at Uni? They teach you poor, old languages on purpose, selecting ones with certain features, so you master techniques that enable you to learn *any* language, later. No worries with the context of your introduction, this was a fine place to do it. Take care, V.

Re: um... Hello

Hey,
Yeah at uni they have taught us Java, x86 assembly, HTML, some JavaScript, and C#. Java is fantastic for programming. A friend of mine who's finished his degree is able to create 3d video games in Java, implement AI, textures, reflections, very complex lighting... very cool. C# however, is supposed to be an improvement on Java lol. The help libraries for C# suck. Sure it has some features that give you a bit more power, but with the set and get methodologies... and just little things that make it really intelligent (but too smart for my liking... that's just me :)).
I agree. Programming is an art, like all things in life. I'll always have a place in my heart for x86 assembly lol. One more push or pop and the screen starts growing trees... what i do like about x86 is the power you have over the computer. Before XP was put on machines, you could play music *on* the hard drive lol :)
Thanks for informing me about the Satanic Bible, much appreciated.
Best Regards,
-Marko
