Vexen Crabtree Websites, Recent Updates

Aside from new pages that are announced here on LJ, I post a lot of updates to https://www.facebook.com/VexenCrabtree . Here's the latest ones:

  1. Happiness and Religion. Added commentary to the graph which shows us that happiness and religion are negatively correlated on a country-by-country basis: This is made possibly worse by the fact that religious adherents are amongst two groups more likely to over-estimate their own happiness simply because they are institutionalized into repeating the story of 'how happy my religion makes me'.

  2. Andrea Minichiello Williams, CEO of Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre; and the Wilberforce Academy has been blocked for some search results on Google in Europe... the only possible response to this is for us all to share it widely, and link to it from other sites.

  3. Deleted a page from my Hellraiser films pages and fixed formatting issues with the background.

  4. Prayer to God in Christianity and Islam: Added to section #2: One of the most famous verses on Christian prayer is 1 John 5:14: "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us". This agrees with the page's argument that God would only listen to prayers if they happen to agree with what God was going to do anyway. What are you thinking when you pray for God to change its mind? Is it possible for theists to pray for something to happen without doubting god's all-knowing nature or its perfect choice of action?
