Life's going on

Yeah, you can say I've lately become something of a fan. Got "Wreath of Barbs" a year so ago, and just recently added "Bone Peeler" and "Preferential Legacy" to my collection. Now I may need to detox, if such a thing's possible where good fucking music is concerned.

Good to know there are so many others out there with decent taste in music. Good, sweet dark world we live in, isn't it?

wumpscut

I was a fan of :W: since Bunkertor 7, up to Evoke. Everything he's done since Evoke has been total shit. Most of the well known bands today are putting out a new cd like every other year, and it shows. Good old Mr. Ratzinger seems to be putting out a new cd every year at the same time, and it shows. It just sounds like he's putting no, or little effort into his material anymore. The latest offering from :W:, Body Census strongly shows this weakness. The first few trax are listenable, but overall it's garbage. And the mixing and sound quality is horrible. In my opinion, anyone who wants some good new heavy Industrial music, go out and buy The Retrosic (Nightcrawler), or Suicide Commando (B.T.K.) They're excellent, flawless cds...

Re: wumpscut

It is for this reason that I have been retardant in reviewing Ratzinger's later albums. It is a real shame. Some modern tracks (March of the Dead, etc) are great because of their uniqueness, if only Wumpscut remained experimental and unpredictable; nasty rather than consistent and... almost, bland.
