What is "spiritual"?

At the end of your essay, you put up these two propositions as if they were mutually incompatible:

1. There is a spiritual reality including reincarnation and good and evil spirits
or
2. Experience of spiritual beings is due to our subconscious desires

I don't see the incompatibility here. If spiritual reality is the same reality as the reality where our subconscious desires live, then where is the conflict? There is only a conflict if we assume that spiritual reality is separate (in some well-defined sense) from that which we call "material reality" and can function independently of it.

A question: is anything besides a self-propagating causal loop needed in order for something or someone to have a sense of self? If the answer is yes, what would that something be? If the answer is no, does this make any subjective experience less real?

Caught my interest

I've just read some of your essays on Solipsism (I've never had a name for this), subjectivism, and supernatural magic and I am awe-struck by it's complexity. These are ideas and beliefs I've had for years and have not been able to put an exact word to. Your site is very, very helpful and I am bookmarking it so I can return and completely absorb it. Spirtual Reality

Christians first of all understand that God is the creator of all things and his word that was from the beginning, was made manifest through the holy spirit in God's word. Formally known as the bible. One must believe the bible, to be God's word; if one denies that the bible is truth then they are not a christian.

Please do not say that christians believe that good angels/spirits come from God and bad a/spirits come from Satan. God created all things and the fall of man is his own sin. Sin has no excuse, God is the law which is righteousness, and our seperation and salvation is his righteousness. Milton believed Satan would rather reign in hell than serve in heaven. So be it if one chooses to deny God, he shall forever be seperated from him. Close your eyes and imagine if there were no God, how empty and painfull into nothingness. You arent at this point asleep, but your heart flutters and you get the creeps. Hell I would imagine would be an eternity of this same feeling.

Sin is anything that God disapproves of. So what does he disapprove of its in the bible. For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God-Romans 3:23)

Freind I do not mock you and you may have the wrong idea on what I am trying to say. I understand as being finite in my thinking that I can not figure out everything on my own, that is the Love of God he told me what I need to know. If I trust in the Lord Jesus to deliever me and I live according to his will I will never suffer after the trials of life. I will pray for you sir. Yes, so they might see, yet what did he want them to see. Read 2 Kings chapter 6 around verse17 there is alot of food for thought. A mind like yours is a blessing not a curse.

The most important question man will ever ask is: What must I do to be saved? The ramifications of the answer given are eternal. Therefore, it is imperative one allows the author of man’s salvation (Hebrews 5:9) to give the answer. God has provided man with everything he needs in relationship to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). This knowledge comes through the Bible, which is His inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16). Since all Scripture is inspired, whether spoken by the prophets of the Old Testament (Hebrews 1:1), Jesus (Hebrews 1:2), or the apostles (John 16:13), one must use all of Scripture to find the answer. No new revelations from God have come since the Bible was completed (Jude 3; Revelation 22:18, 19). Therefore, the Bible is the only source of information qualified to tell man what he must do to be saved. Since the same inspired Word is to be the standard by which man is judged on the last day (John 12:48), it is the final word on man’s salvation.

there is no god there is no ghosts or spirits all bibles are rubbish no proof has ever been found of anyone comming back to say there is a heaven religion is a way of making money from people who want to beleive otherwise why would so called psychics charge money for telling some suckers what they want to know maybe your so called jeusus christ said tell them about me and take there money even in church they pass the plate so we are paying to hear about religion if there was a god or a jesus did they charge

I have seen your remark. I am not sure that sin is interpreted the same for god as is for the church follower. The book the bible was an idea that a man who was inspired wrote. Like all books they are products of will and determination and the holy books add more inspiration to them. However none was actually the product of God himself. And for some people (the happy in my upbringing person) not really seeking truth of his or her existence is nothing short of an excuse for a lazy mind or a person who is afraid to look beyond their noses for answers. However, should the individual seek the answer to the existence of sin .. you can call it attention that is not focussed on God. Hence all of creation is born in sin. So we all worship the devil all the time. Since we cannot put our attention on God we cannot understand what god really is.
This world is called the world of duality. That means positive and negative; good and bad; light and dark; male and female and these forces bring creation into existence. Opposites attract, so this is the energy we are dealing with. Our existence is one of dualities and will continue to be so unless we find a way that harmonises this energy and brings peace.
People who seek answers in meditation say the soul which is the pure essence of God and is situated between and behind the eyebrows and that it would be good to discover oneself and when that is done we come to the same conclusions as Christ that the father and i are the same.
For those who believe in the out of body experience have said that inner worlds are far greater than the physical ones and that the god worlds are on various levels which bring out the various gods in charge of higher regions.
And when you do get to god you would no longer have desires for it is desires that keep you away from God and your tru self. So when when ever you have a desire be it good or bad remember that is why we dont know God.

i do not belive in God, although I give him a Capital. I have however experienced a spiritual phenomenon. I belive we are each our own gods who know the difference between right and wrong or good and evil. Spiritualism exludes me because I do not wish to worship God. Where do I turn?

It is said God is everywhere. This means that you are always with God. You should persue the answer to "man know thyself" for you to realise this truth.

Who are we? This is perhaps the question being answered in the spiritual experience that we try to analyse. When we look at the Law of conservation of energy, we learn that energy is neither created not destroyed. If this is true then for us to exist we are beings of energy. When the body dies the energy must go somewhere else. Science has to explain what energy leaves the body at the time of death. It might be called soulergy. This study will be able to account for the NDE (near death experience) that people have had and those experiecned during meditaion or the study of the spiritual side of our being.

1. Conservation of energy is not what you think. E=mc² is part of the same law as the conservation of energy: Pure energy takes the form of photons, which are all on the electromagnetic spectrum (all energy is radiation). There is no "soul energy"; our consciousness and selfhood is physical in nature. Energy is physical in nature: Photos interact with gravity, electrons, atoms, other photos, etc... "energy" is not some ethereal, spiritual, religious thing that you can just say "leaves the body". We radiate energy all the time, as heat, and in all our excretions. "Energy leaving the body" after death is called "decomposition", there is nothing special or spiritual about it. Nothing spiritual "leaves the body" in any mystical sense.

2. The "new age movement" has taken scientific terms such as "energy" and completely misunderstood them. New Agers talk of "energy" as if it is directed, intentional, special, etc. A simple electron pair is simply energy, too: 1.02MeV of energy, to be precise. The law of conservation of energy (and mass, as they are the same), has nothing to do with life or death. (For those, you need to look at qualia, quantum physics, the biology of concsiousness and philosophy).

3. NDEs have been studied for a long time; sociologists, psychologists, neurologians and scientists know a great deal about NDE, it is not necessary to adopt New-Age definitions of "energy" in order to explain NDEs.

The monotheist religion doesn't discard reincarnation. Even if you read the holy Koran, you can find evidence of Reincarnation stating this process might not be sound to the soul. Monotheistic religion defines the One True GOD as the infinitely perfect being, limitless beyond time and space. If you think hard you can come to know about "GOD" truely living. When there is no ego, there are no different souls, love binds everything. Imagine....

Yes, it would seem to make sense that killing our children would bring them into the eternal paradise, but there are millions of people that are already born and living and they need to be changed so they can go to heaven. A single person being born could change a 100 hundred lives and bring them into paradise. When God puts a soul into this baby or kid that is aborted He doesn't intend for it to be killed but rather to change lives. God isn't exactly going to send a baby down to hell because it was the mothers choice. If we killed our own kids anyways it would result in our eternal damnation and if we ourselves were called to save thousands of others that would be lost to many. That's my opinion

Man is a triune being. Man's three-fold nature is this: (1) Spirit - The dimension of man which deals with the spiritual realm. The part of man that knows God. (2) Soul - The dimension of man which deals with the mental realm. Man's intellect. The sensibilities and will. The part that reasons and thinks. (3) Body - The dimension of man which deals with the physical realm. The house in which we live (earth suit). Man thinks of himself as just a physical being when actually man is a spirit being who possesses a soul and lives in a body. Man can communicate with the spiritual world through witchcraft,sorcery,divination,voodoo,black mass,tarot cards,ouija boards and especially the Holy Bible. 97% of so called christians don't even know what the Bible says and the same percentage goes for muslums concerning the koran. They both just believe what they're told. As for the spiritual world, there is a double-kingdom system. There is a seen kingdom upon this earth with human rulers. But behind that earthly kingdom (or nation) is an unseen kingdom with a satanic ruler. Everything on this earth - every human, every being - is dominated, ruled or influenced by spirits in the unseen world. Even christians, real christians are influenced and lead by the Spirit of God! They always try to fight, wrestle and cope with situations they see, when really there's an unseen power behind the situation. When they (christians) begin to understand that and walk in the light of that, they will become successful in their praying, because: To believe the impossible you must first see the invisible. Coincidence or spiritual influence? satan comes out with, "The Last Temptation of Christ", God comes out with the, "Passion Of Christ", God comes out with the Bible codes, satan comes out with the Devinci codes and so on and so on. That certain instrument I mentioned above is a door, a window, a portal into El Shaddai's world. The Spirit of God takes the Word of God and makes a child of God. I told my kids not to cry at my funeral. I told them that death was like a peanut. The shell is there but the nut is gone...

Life doesn´t end with the flesh. Behind the material reality is a vast, infinite, spiritual realm. Now, the reason as to why we incarnate into this world is not really known to us. Now, our animal bodies desire sex, food, confort, prestige ( our animal ego ) etc. Our souls are evolving just as God is, also. That could be the reason why we come into the world. God or the Force is all powerful, all knowing, and omnipresent. That´s about all we know about God or the Force. It´s time to wake up and realize that we are infinite.
