Okay, let's go...
|
But is it really important to do so? you're set, i'm set... honestly Vexen... I think the only thing to do is agree to disagree. Sure, I'll tell you about my life story-- I won't claim to be a genius when it comes to the Bible or Christ... bc i'm not... but i'm willing to talk.
=) But I doubt you'll reply to this... Or even if you did, it wouldn't be talking, you'd be shooting down me and I possibly/probably would be shooting down you-- getting us absolutely no where.
God and I are tight. lol, like Father/daughter kind've thing. He provides for me, I go where he tells me good things are. Simple. I believe the Bible. The contradictions people speak of... if you examine the passages are correct. But of course, you've already done that! Goodness, then why are Christians, Muslims,Jews and Hindus still around? Is no one listening? Surely you don't think you're the only one who's thought of these arguements... yet the only ones you've convinced yet are those who happen to stumble upon your site. hmm... God... or Vexen... God... or Vexen... I have to say, God's got the numbers on you... ohp, not only is he the score keeper, but he's the stop-watch and ref of the game.
So keep playing Vex... I hope you'll realize soon that you're scoring for the wrong team.

i think your statement is flawed slightly
|
hi vexen,
i see a possibly huge flaw with your argument. your statement "Christians must debate and explain, patiently, whether they have time or not. The Bible says so!" is backed up by 2 bible passages that don't strictly say that.
they say as follows
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."
studying this carefully you will see that it says "always be prepared to give an answer". it doesn't say, as you have interpreted, "you must give an answer"
if those few single words were changed i'd have no problem with your argument but seeing as they are as they are, i do have a problem with your argument, and regardless of what it means, i have still taken time to debate and explain, patiently.
it's good to see some opinion though
