Stupidity, the cardinal sin of Satanism

"Human Stupidity Knows No Bounds" by Vexen Crabtree

I really enjoyed reading this page! I love the opening quotes. And a few of the pages that linked to it contain some very valuable advice [self-development], some of which I've tried to hold fast to for awhile now:

Think for yourself
Question everything
Know yourself
Know your weaknesses

And of course, understanding doubt and confidence. On the stupidity issue, yes, I've known people who somehow rubbed me the wrong way or that I just didn't like. Why? Because of what I saw as their STUPIDITY. And I think it is a good idea to always be on the lookout in examining our own motives & behavior and not be intellectually lazy!!

Why does it bother me that people run red traffic lights, esp. dangerously late? Because it's STUPID to risk your own and other people's lives just to get going on the road a few seconds sooner! There's nothing that fucking important to get to that outweighs the importance of your life.

The other topics such as fitness and good health--I'll answer at the other pages. :)

This man is write in what he his saying, the mass herd of people do what is easy which makes it justified in this world. No one ever wants to speak out against anything that is going smoothly in their world if its write or wrong. This non-religion is for people who only provoke thought and say "hey is this crap (that they were forced to belive because of their parents) he's throwing out there true." This is the way i have felt all my life and i am only 14.

Curse to the oil boy!!!!!!!!!

Re: is Satan evil?

In reading "The Cardinal Sin of Satanism", at the end it says that by fighting stupidity we are fighting evil. Elsewhere on the site, it says that Nature (thus, perhaps, Satan as the real God) is evil.

Do Satanists believe that their patron saint is evil? or is it that they enjoy things which more traditional religions consider evil, to protect themselves (Such as Lust, because if you can persuade someone that they are evil in feeling lust, then, as all humans feel lust, you can make them feel insecure and think that they need to ne 'saved' by burying themselves in a stupid religious collective) ?

"Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say that there is plenty more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe" --Frank Zappa

I agree with all your principles on stupidity - I try and practice this in my day to day life, and tonight is the first I have read about such like minded thinking. However I have never considered myself a satanist, (and still dont). I try not to associate with organizations as per se. Having grown up in a christian home, I veer away from that tag. Having grown up in a christian home and being told the end of the earth as I know it was near because of the devil I tend to steer clear of anything satanic. I believe in a God because of all my close calls in life and my neverending good luck; I practice smart thinking in a pragmatic way.
