Steak!
What a gorgeous, succulent, well-cooked steak I just had for evening meal! With lots of mixed veg, and some equally tasty & beatiful mushroom sauce stuff. Yum yum yum! *happy belly*

I've been eating very healthy for a week... lots of salad, veg, cereals... and much less fried sausages, bacon and deserts.

Not that I'm fat or unfit, but that I want to be fitter!

Oh and by request (kind-of) I'm trying to see what it takes to get a sixpack back!

In the gym I'm doing the same upper-body routine (my weakspot) that I planned on doing out here, but have also started adding more cadiovascular (my strong area) to the mix too, just to keep that side of things up.

Another nightshift...
Started off very hectic today... lots of varied and random problems, most of which I could only monitor and inform other people about. Going to monitor bandwidth usage on a few satellite links, in depth, although I don't think that that's the issue at all. On another link, two nodes just *cannot* seem to sync their timing, and one location keeps dropping to internal timings, which dropps it off the net. Awkward; the new cards we sent up there this week hasn't fixed it. Which annoys our bosses.

Anyway... went to the gym early this morning (4am), after chatting amicably to a friend, and done a heavier circuit, upping all the weights and stuff, and not doing any toning at all. I need to learn to get to the gym earlier, do an overload circuit then go running for 30mins -> 1hr, then go do another overload circuit.

Anyway, am going to midnight scoff in 30 mins after B gets back from hers, have a nice Sunday evening you all.

*yawn*
I got an early night last night... I worked a few extra hours to cover for the world cup, so the night shift could watch it, so now I'm not going in to work until 10:30am... yay! I also went to bed early.

Now I'm up, going to go get a shave, and am intending on going to gym for 90 mins despite being all *yawny*

Enjoy the weekend, all of you living in the free world where you have weekends off! *jealous*

More Gym, again
Went to the gym easly yesterday morning, 0200 until 0330, I was the only person there for the whole period!

I worked hard, lots of weights machines and stuff, and when arms & chest couldn't take it anymore I took a break by doing 60 situps, I went on the running machine and sprinted for a few km. It was eerie... getting a steaming hot shower in a building that was so quiet I knew the noise of the shower could be heard everywhere!

But, the gym here is pretty good, better than the one back where I work in Germany!

Gym
2am-3am in the gym... I was the only person there... I done an overload circuit on biceps/pects, with an occasional reprieve on the crunch machine. Done some standard weights.

If only I'd do that more often! 'Cos I'm on night shift tomorrow I will stay up tonight in order to sychronize sleep pattern (real reason: I like the night!).

Salisbury and Gym
Finished today at 9:30am. Yeah, so we only worked for one hour and fifteen minutes. Sue us :-)

All the guys on my course here went to Bournemouth beach to letch at the girls. Whilst not adverse to that, the most unanimous of male behaviours, I felt it too much to specifically go somewhere for ten hours letching on accuont of actually having a wonderfully insane girlfriend to whom I'm committed. Incidental letching is fine and normal (and next to unstoppable), but doing it intentionally would make me feel guilty.

Anyway.

Went shopping in Salisbury which was nicer and more useful than I thought it would be. Found some black jeans, you see. Last time I found black jeans they were only available in girly cut, so I got my gf a pair. This time they were only in medium/big sizes, so I got myself some :-) Also bought a medium-tight (black) tshirt to use when I don't fancy gay-tight or groggy-loose.

And bought all five Hellraiser movies. Hellraisers One and Two feel like a spiritual home for me; like a big black duvet of comfort and familiarity. Panning up to see the glory of Leviathan is my unholy equivalent of religious ecstasy.

Then went to the gym, where I done 30 minutes hard cycling and some work with weights. I'm pleased I wrote a few days ago about gym stuff and was talking to tangy_apple (thanx babe, you inspired me!) 'cos I was then motivated to do the most simple upper-body exercises... weights! No fancy machine or anything. Just lifting heavy things up and down :-) Keep It Simple, Stupid!

2005 August Edit: Have now created a website about hellraiser: http://www.vexen.co.uk/hellraiser/index.html

Gym
Lots of extreme cycling in the gym... was absolutely dripping with sweat, my (tight: bad choice) tshirt and nifty little shorts were plastered to me, and my forearms and hands were so covered in sweat that I abandoned reading my book on the handlebars. Done a few sets of pure uphill, increasing-incline routes.

Leg work is my strength... running, long-distance, cycling... etc.

Upper body is weak... but I went to the downstairs machines and found that my favorite upper body machine was out of order! I was well disappointed! I haven't been downstairs in this particular work gym for half a year on account of not living on this particular work premises.

Anyway the shower afterwards was brilliant... if lonely. Very much wanted my S.O. to give me a good scrub :-)

Oh yeah... that much work = aphrodisiac. Anyone else?
