Tuesday = at home day
Loud annoying workmen were doing loud annoying things all around the house today, and the hot water was off... instead of sleeping, I was kept up by banging and drilling! Grrr... and then, I couldn't get a shower all day either and had to sit around being smelly! Then were here from 8am till 6pm

Told some pesky reporters that I am definately not going to do anything with them and also that they're fighting an uphill struggle if they expect anyone else to volunteer. They kept trying to stroke my ego and intice me by saying nice things. I have forwarded their details to a list or two, but have warned them no-one is likely to respond.

Have been trawling through error logs and referer logs for my sites, fixed up a dozen silly little errors.

All my friends are going to Whitby! Well at least my housemates aren't anyway.

I'm skint!

What a boring entry!

I only got up about 8pm...

there's nothing like a piping hot very large baked potato at 2am, with melted cheese and butter, steaming hugely on a plate :-)

Will be followed by a wonderful cup of coffee.

Life is good!

And... you forget sometimes how complex language is. Simple things we take for granted like Capital Letters, for example: Lower case "a" bears no resemblance to upper case "A"... same for most capitals. Arabic has equivalent things ("Standalone" and "Joined" characters, as I'm calling them), but just learning to automatically equate the two cases fluently is time consuming!

Now all I need is a fork, and I can actually start eating!

In the crazy world of Vexen Crabtree, it is now bed time. I've been laid on my bed in socks and pants daydreaming about cats, now is time to actually remove socks and go to sleep and dream about them :-)

Hectic Wednesday!
Stayed up all Tuesday and Tuesday night doing stuff, Wed morning I spent some time on the phone, went to Catford to do some stuff, came back and answered emails for an hour or two, then set off to Rose Bruford drama college, where I lent my support to my housemate who designed a show that aired at 5pm. It was a huge success, and it was beautiful and rather dark... with excellent and gorgeous actors, and a set that worked perfectly and exquisitely with lots and lots of re-use and multiple-purpose scenery.

I got to talk more with Jamie's intelligent parents, whom I like a lot, and who I accompanied around the college. The followed me initially because I seemed to know where I was going (first time I'd been there actually!) before realizing who I was!

I went with the whole crew and celebrated, and got food with them. I got on with all of them, especially the jazz band and technical musicians and the designers, and with the Director too, who masterfully implemented Jamies' designs.

But J drank too much, and became a very ill catatonic mess, so, carrying his belongings I made sure he got home ok... he was very dead, something to do with lots of exhaustion as a result of very very long hours preparing the stage, and then lots of alcohol on no food or sleep! Walking home, he said I "was a genius" for not drinking!

Anyway... apologies to Felis, as I've neglected her every day this week despite saying I'll chat online!

I attempted to sleep, but failed miserably. My legs hurt from football - in particular, inner thighs, none of the excercises I do "do" those. I hope I can walk tomorrow!

I give up, I can't sleep...

When I generated new web site statistics a few days ago, I also produced log files of all the 404 errors, so tonight I'm going to start the process of looking where each 404 error came from and seeing if I can do anything about it. http://www.dpjs.co.uk has 116 such lines to look at, but http://www.vexen.co.uk has 725. I know most of them wont be internal, but it interesting to see which domains and pages I've been linked from.
