Problems with Heaven

Problems with Heaven: Free Will and Evil

Re: you are dumb!!!

Are you sure? Can you Honestly say that even if God himself was to appear in front of you this very moment? Would you then Believe that God actually DOES EXIST! and that he is not the Evil God you are talking about at all? Also that you would not be rattled? Even in your mind if he does or dont exist. If something or someone was to just pop up by you Are you not Scared? Everyone is caught of guard and startled till recognized. That is Human response, and regardless of how prepared one is you are still going to respond in some fashion either calmly or "crack up" as it was put before. Sure God can negate any action but he is not in the game to do so. We act of our role in life and we have our agenda. I suppose you dont believe in the Rapture of the Church? Even so: How are the ones that are left here on earth when those of the Body of Christ are taken in a blink of an eye going to explain the sudden disappearance of millions of people? Just imagine you are sitting at a table with 3 friends and 2 of them just vanished right in front of you along with 1/3 of the people around you. would you not then be in awe? Your Evil god that you choose to follow has you baffled! so be-it you follow him and make no mistake that when the time comes those that choose wisely and follow the light of the morning star shall see his glory and will embrace him. All i can say is Fire is not a flame i wish to play with.

Re: you are dumb!!!

You didn't answer my question... WHY would a god design us to be *scared*, *rattled* and *crack up* if we saw it? Why would a god design us to have that reaction?

Also, you admit that God can appear and simply choose *not* to cause these affects.

So... if God wants people to know that it exists (or if God is going to judge us according to our learned knowledge of the world), why wouldn't God give us the facts? Without the facts, how can we choose? If it DOESN'T MATTER if we believe in God or not (maybe, you know, our moral choices are more important than our accumulated knowledge), then God might not show itself.

We're Designed in his own Image, we carry all his traits and free to use them as choices and reactions. We're objects of God love. Now to be an object of love, what does the giver expect in return? Love, and that's why He made the human race. Angels couldn't respond, and so He made the human race with that indwelling attribute of will to either respond to His love or to reject it. And so that's why He had to bring Satan on the scene so we could exercise that choice, otherwise there would be no will exercised. So the whole program of the human race was that God could have prepared people to fellowship with. And to return or extend His love to them that had responded of their own free will to His love. And that's why we are here, and that's why the vast majority of mankind are given the free option to reject it if they want to. Remember, God doesn't want someone in His Heaven if they can't respond to His love. But to those who respond to His love, He's prepared things like what Paul says:

I Corinthians 2:9

"But as it is written, `Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.'"

Re: you are dumb!!!

You still didn't answer... we are not completely in God's image because god is all-knowing, omnipresent, perfectly good, has no gender, no hormones, no biochemistry, etc: there are vast differences between us and god. Undeniable differences. Why, when God designed us, did it design us to have such a terrible reaction to mere sight of God? And, as you say, if God can appear without causing these affects to occur, why doesn't it?

All your reiterated stuff about "objects of love" was a completely different subject. Reply to the question, start a new thread, but any more unrelated crap and I'm logging you as a brainless spammer.

You say "suddenly" but there is nothing "sudden" about the rapture described in the bible. Dead corpses come to life (not just spirits or souls), re-animate themselves, crawl out of their graves, and float into the sky along with all others who are saved. They all float upwards towards Jesus who is in the sky, (I'm guessing that if Jesus appears above Australia, everyone in Europe will float around the whole globe or tunnel through it, and vica-versa). You say "blink of an eye" but it sounds like something that could take a while!

And if that happened, I would probably start believing in afterlife, and maybe start believing in Mithraism or some of the ancient religions that invented the idea of the rapture of the dead into the Sun (or Sun God, of course).

blink your eye.. How fast was that! that is how fast it will happen he says in plain text. and you said before God is all powerful he can do anything correct? Please Consider the, What if im wrong question.

Suddenly and is POOF Instantly ect... not a long drawn out process you seem to be pulling out of this. a Blink is a Blink and pretty darn fast to.

OK, now you're just making stuff up... where in the Bible does it say rapture will happen in a blink of an eye? The description of it is the one I've given... what religion are you? I thought you were using the Bible as your guide, I guess not.

I thought you were using the Bible as your guide, I guess not. Not made up at all and here is my proof KJV I Corinthians 15:52 "Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." Now, these teachings you won’t find anywhere but Paul. Nowhere has it ever hinted that there’s ever going to be a day when living people are suddenly going to be translated. "Behold I show you another mystery,..." another secret. "We (that is believers) shall not all sleep (or die), but...", we have to be what?..."Changed" "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye," in the split second of an eyelash, (at) "...the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ" Those who have been part and parcel now of the Body of Christ. Not the Old Testament saints. Daniel says he has to wait. But now, it’s the Church Age saints. These who are in the body. "At the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we... Paul says (and he expected to be alive) ...shall be changed." In other words, when the trumpet sounds, and if we’re living – and I think we will be, the dead in Christ will rise first and then we will suddenly take flight and we will go up with him.
