Re: Satanic Festivals.

What has Easter - a celebration of fertility (eggs, bunny rabbits, etc), got to do with Christians anyway?

Well the Christians need to tie it into Paganism somehow, to keep the public docile, because as humanity shows time and time again, people don't like rapid change of their fundamental belief systems. Thinly veiling their Ressurection myth around the time of a Pagan ceremony of rebirth is just one of many such instances.

P.S. Whilst it would be interesting to celebrate the fall of Christ, not sure what it would achieve, other than the usual rallying of the Christian forces in society. I wouldn't care, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't eat Easter Eggs or refuse Christmas gifts, for they rule.

The ressurrection was an awesome thing!!! You should not be taking something that God did for us and turning it bad. Christ died for us all!!! Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Easter:

Easter represents the belief that Christians believe as the day Christ, (HUMAN AND DIVINE/GOD) rose from the dead after being "defeated by death/evil"

Jesus as you know, is considered to be a man, who is known as the Lord/Saviour of all who chose to believe in him. Further that he took away every sin, (not just some, but all of them)...which kinda points out contradictions in certain sects of christianity that condemn/judge people, since Jesus forgave every sin and "purchased eternal bliss and happiness" for all sinners. ALL sinners, crazy stuff. Its hard to imagine that God would actually be willing to forgive anyone who asked for it...but hey, thats what Christians believe, and Easter was the day that he defeated death (came from hell and rose from the dead). This was to show all who follow him, what is to come of "ourselves"...so that when we die, we'd come back in our bodies and be glorified as he was.
Its all a happy story, but unfortunately some people today, certainly do not practice what they believe, instead they eat chocolage eggs (which are cool) and forget what they actually believe to be the most important thing ever...that God defeated death in all of "us".
