A Lifetime's Work

There is so much more effort, attention and care that can be put on to everything that is written. I want to improve the accuracy and comprehensiveness of nearly every page on my websites, yet there are still more page that need to be completely rewritten. I have loads of stuff where argumentativeness has crossed the line into ignorance or immaturity.

It is always a compromise between continuing to write one page and making it bigger, yet still keeping it readable in a web session, which is what I aim for most my pages to be.

I need to take a few months out in the British Library, and spend half a day on every page I have, therefore making good progress on 180 pages. I need a job that is less intrusive on study (I've spent all but 11 weeks this year away from home!)

I have carved out more than a lifetime's future work for myself, which is good. Something to do, before I die!

I feel the same way about my historical research and writing. It is the magnm opus to be completed before I die. Partly done now but sitting in boxes waiting for that moment when work and other crap in life are not strangling me so that I can research and write. Someday, man. Someday.
