Instruct with Great Patience: How Christians Should Preach and Debate, According to the Bible: Added to section #1: Ephesians 4:24-25 says "therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body" [NIV] and it is hard to see if "neighbour" therefore only means they "of one body", ie. the Christian community. So it might mean "don't lie to Christians", or, if it is counting all humans as "one body", then, it means "don't lie". In reality, it doesn't really matter, because the irony is that Ephesians is a forgery written in the name of Paul, and this warning was likely put there to make it seem more legitimate.
Growing Fundamentalism in Islam: How Moderates are Subjugated by Muslim Hardliners: Added to section 3: Because it is difficult to learn Qur'anic Arabic in Western countries due to the lack of established institutions, all teachers who command authority and respect are foreign-trained. Western moderates are almost completely "unable to command much support in the Muslim Middle East" (partially because of lack of language) and only the most enthusiastic Islamists tend to emerge as knowledgeable Islamic preachers and community leaders in the West.
Souls do not Exist: Evidence from Science & Philosophy Against Mind-Body Dualism: Two updates. (1) Intro paragraph: Added that because that for most of human history we have had no understanding of how our brains work, the idea of separate souls infused our folklore, cultures, myths, religions and has instructed our interpretation of dreams. (2) Added to section #1: The effects of drugs on our inner selves can be strong enough as to negate any power of deliberation that our brains otherwise possess: "[R]ats, mice, and primates will, given the chance, take drugs like cocaine, heroin, and amphetamines until they drop from exhaustion or die from it", states scientist Michio Kaku.
Turkey (Republic of Turkey): Added to section #4: In 2016 Mar, Turkish president Recep Tayyip epitomized the traditional and established opinion of "woman's place" in Turkey, repeating several slurs against modern gender equality. He managed to include a criticism of contraception in general, saying that it is used to 'dry up our nation'. Contraception and modern life 'paves the way for abuses against women in all fields' and in particular, capitalism 'enslaves' women for profits. What he's talking about is (1) women making choices as to when they want children, and (2) women being able to work. Tayyip doesn't support either right and he has repeatedly called on Turkish women to have at least 3 children, even in a country that is suffering from overpopulation and serious issues with quality of life. He has described abortion as 'murder' and Caesarean sections as unnatural. His embarrassing and backwards opinions are holding back the entire country.
