Re: To choose or not to choose?

1)
This is not what "God" is telling me, it is what *YOU* are telling me. Are you saying I should automatically believe random prosyltizers on the Internet?

So, when Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus and Scientologists "tell me" about their beliefs, saviours and people, I should simply go "oh all right then, if you say so!" and then believe in dozens of Gods, aliens and the like?

If you quote John 3:16 at me one more time, I will delete this whole thread.

2)
The Bible was written by men, not God. Gods messengers, be it Muhammad or Jesus, have a terrible habit of never writing anything down themselves. Only the Jews have a claim to direct God-written text, and that's the Jewish 10 Commandments. It doesn't matter what it says in the Christian Bible, the Koran, the Upanishads or the Avesta... they were all written by men. Are you saying I should believe everything written in all of them?

I don't get why you can say that all those religious, holy, inspired books are wrong and false, whereas yours is not. They're all the same; written by humankind.

3)
Run it past me again, why are you saying I should pretend to believe in Jesus?

Is it your opinion that only those who know the truth are allowed into heaven? So mentally disabled people who can't work-out your dogma go to hell? What about babies who die before a Christian evangelist has a go at them? What about Moses and Abraham, both of whom never knew Jesus? Are they in hell?
